Love Your Body

“Loving your body” may signify something different to each person.  For us (The Pink Team), when we say to our friends and family: “You should love your body,” it boils down to 1) Eating right 2) Using Toxin-free personal care products and 3) Maintaining a positive mindset.

Eating right consists of gaining the proper nutrition that our bodies need in order to function properly. This can be obtained through eating high amounts of fruits and veggies, lean quality proteins, and complex carbohydrates. Also reducing (or eliminating altogether) processed foods and high quantities of refined sugars and artificial sweeteners will provide your body with the fuel it needs.

When it comes to personal care products, we must be careful to choose only what our bodies deserve.  The personal care and cosmetics industry is one of the poorest regulated industries in the United States where women are being exposed to over 100 unique chemicals without ever leaving their bathroom. We are bound to learn about the ingredients found in these products, and we need to make sure we avoid using those that are harmful to our health.  There are natural, toxin-free products available and made by companies that do care about our health and well-being more than just their bottom line.

Finally, keeping a clear and positive mindset is another form of demonstrating love for your body and for yourself.  Your mind should be kept as a sanctuary – peaceful, free of contamination, and clean.  We must only allow thoughts and ideas that benefit us rather than hurt or disturb our state of being. Loving your body is giving your body, and yourself, what you deserve. From food, to skin care, to a single thought, you deserve only the best. Remember that.
